Chevrolet has done it again. With the yet to be launched Chevrolet Impala, which steps into the 10th edition ever since its first launch decades back, the company has taken the concept of automotive to a whole new level. A recent auto show unveiled the first look of this iconic vehicle which is sure to set a benchmark in the history of the company. The 10th edition of this revamped model is set to hit markets sometime in 2014. However, critics have unanimously appreciated its design - both interior as well as exterior, thereby emanating a new ray of hope for Chevrolet and General Motors. With the 2014 edition of Chevrolet Impala, the company will leave behind other leading manufacturers like Toyota and Honda, which have in store the ninth versions of Camry and Accord respectively.
The 2014 edition of the Chevrolet Impala is largely about heritage and style without being overtly monotonous and vintage. It seems to have been inspired somewhat by the Camaro. With long and low hoods, sharp and chiseled headlights, flat and rectangular taillights, the Impala is a stunner overall. From the HID headlamps to the lower LED running lamps, everything is almost similar to the Camaro in terms of design. All in all, the Impala is yet another flagship sedan from Chevrolet. The exterior brags of a mixture of exquisite designs, borrowed from premium machines like the Audi A7 and Cadillac XTS. The interiors of this model packs in some excellent features. The center stack has a large 8 inches touchscreen which can be slid upwards to make way for a storage bin. There is a USB port which provides access to the Chevy infotainment system. There is a 4.2 inches color screen to serve as the information center for the driver. The under the hood features of the Impala are overall classy and helpful.
The 2014 Impala is equipped with some great technology inside. Suited to deliver amazing performance is the best-in-class engine with a direct injected 3.6 liters capacity up to a mind-blowing 303hp. There will be two other micro hybrid engines available, each having four-cylinder slots, in two different machines. With a support for a 35mpg mark on the highway, the Chevy Impala 2014 edition can be a winner in terms of fuel efficiency. There's another awesome addition to this car - the radar-guided adaptive cruise control which will enable to come to a complete halt, thanks to the collision mitigation braking system, in order to prevent an impending collision.
